One of the principles included in Kao Corporation’s code of conduct is a commitment to contribute to the enrichment of society through activities that constitute a social contribution.

We collaborate with the communities around us with the aim of contributing to the social development and well-being of people with a long-term perspective and making their challenges and objectives our own.

Support for education and equal opportunities

All KCE subsidiaries work with educational institutions, secondary schools, universities and technical colleges to offer work placements and give students an insight into the industrial environment through factory visits.

Among the key initiatives for 2025:

Education:

  • KCG supported local schools through financial donations.

  • KCSA continued its scholarship programme for secondary school chemistry students at secondary schools in Barberà del Vallès and Mollet del Vallès.

  • QK launched educational programmes to encourage pupils to stay in school.

Equal Opportunities:

  • KCSA works in partnership with the NGO Mujeres Burkina, which supports women living in poverty in Burkina Faso.

  • KCHI supports APRAMP, an organization dedicated to combating the trafficking of women and girls through a human rights and gender-based approach.

These initiatives help to promote equal opportunities and the personal and professional development of young people and vulnerable groups.

Academic Collaborations

Participation in social, cultural and sports initiatives and activities

KCE actively participates in social, cultural and sporting initiatives that strengthen the community and promote social well-being.

In 2025:

  • KCG supported local organizations through donations and sponsored the Municipal Fire Brigade and various cultural and sports associations.

  • QK supported the Padre Pío Shelter, the 12 Apostles Soup Kitchen, the Los Pinos Children’s Shelter and the Hogares Fraternales del Salto through financial and inkind donations.

  • KCHI and KCSA took part in food collection drives with local organizations, the Food Bank and the Red Cross, as well as toy collection drives in Mollet, Olesa, Barberà del Vallès, Rubí and Aldaya.

  • KCSA sponsored the publication Notes of the Centre d'Estudis Molletans and the Vila d'Olesa Research Prize.

  • KCHI sponsored the youth team of L’Olleria Football Club, and KCSA sponsored that of Mollet Football Club.

Employee involvement is key to the success of these initiatives, as it strengthens the sense of belonging and amplifies KCE’s positive impact on society.
